One of the major strengths of our chips is the incredible durability. We have left the chips in water for weeks at a time, I believe the last test was for a full month completely submerged. We were expecting them to do well but the result is always outstanding, there is never any degradation at all.
The glue that bonds the centre to the clay chip is the same as used by road signs. It is pressure sensitve and as a result gets stronger in time and as we discovered in this test gets even stronger when submerged in water for a time. This is no accident, if you think about it road signs are subjected by terrible weather for years and now we can take advantage of this technology for Poker chips.

One of our durability tests in action!
We use a water resistant vinyl as the base to print onto, however, this is coated with a Matt laminate which not only looks great it completely protects the print from UV fading, scratches and any other form of damage. The Matt laminate is the perfectly surface as it blends perfectly with clay chip and nail scratches and other possible ways of marking the surface are invisible.
We have experimented with many types of surface including glossy finishes. Although a glossy laminate protects the chip as well it does show marks very easily. A gloss finish is available though if required.
